Feeling ill-equipped and lacking in many areas

**Play "Does Anyone Hear Her"(Use the > key to scroll down to the title on the playlist player to the right)

Do you ever feel like you are less than equipped and gifted at many of the skills and talents for your daily tasks, not to mention any creative endeavors or other activities? Can you make a list of 3 gifts (natural abilities) and 3 talents (skills or abilities)? tick tock tick tock tick tock. beep

Okay how did you do? Well, keep working on it, if you can't complete the list right now, think about it and ask God to reveal them to you. If you could not come up with any, that is okay, they are just hidden to you. Call someone and ask them, "If you had to list 3 gifts or talents of mine what would you say"? Write it down. (This can be a big esteem builder)

A scripture I turn to allot is 2 Peter 1:2-8 (NIV) (comments and Emphasis are mine :)
I like this one with the colors to enhance the connections. Red is for the blood or to refer to Jesus Christ. Green is to signify growth as our knowledge grows deeper and deeper. Gold is to make us think of God in Heaven!!! Purple is the regal and royal benefits were receive as Children of the King.

Grace and peace be YOURS in abundance through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord. His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and goodness. Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature and escape the corruption in the world caused by evil desires. For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness: and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; And to godliness, brotherly (and sisterly) kindness; and to brotherly (or sisterly) kindness, love. For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

If God says, (and he CANNOT LIE) you are all that and a bag of carrots, shouldn't you treat yourself like you are. Look up what else Christ and God the Father say about you. That is the truth. If you knew you had $100.00 (okay I am cheap, but focus on the point) hid in your house, wouldn't you go look for it? Well, inside of you there ARE gifts and talents hidden (at least to you) go hunting and find them. Pray and ask for God to reveal your goodness to you. Once you see it, everything looks different. You may rekindle a past hobby or find completely new talents and gifts you did not realize where in you. Seek and ye shall find....
