Paul (or Peter) { I get them confused all the time} Asked this question in scripture.
"why do I do the things I do not want to do and why do I not do the things I want to do and know that I should". {Tell me where this scripture is for a gift :) }.
"Being eager and willing to improve is not the same as indecisiveness. Be diligent and dedicated to being refined and always aspire to be Holy and it will require change."
"Refinement and purification require Change!!"
"Moss only grows on the Southside of sedentary items" Lesson don't be sedentary, keep feet moving and always face "up yonder"!!!!"
The world of self awareness, psychology and therapy have many theories to explain our thinking processes and behavior. Some discount our "evil or sinful nature" most blame bad behavior on bad circumstances, traumas, and bad childhood experiences in the early years.
But, what does the Bible say about our behavior and about thinking? Do we really have to dredge up all our thoughts and feelings from our past in order to claim a positive change and set a course to an abundant life? Do we really have to pour of darkest thoughts and feelings out to someone? Do we really have to take YEARS taking baby steps of changing all the "bad or unacceptable" behaviors that we do? As a christian this can be very confusing, but digging into the scriptures and through prayer we can be guided to "the Truth. The Great Physcian is in and He is omniscient, He already knows exactly what is to blame for your bad feelings, thoughts and behavior. You do not have to say a word!! The Holy Spirit can allow you to release the information in grunts and tears and Christ can translate those, but does not need you to do anything! Whoa hoo. A doctor that does not need ANYTHING!! from you in order to come up with the proper treatment plan, He KNOWS!! you, He KNOWS everything about your past, the current situation, and the future. He KNOWS what your limitations are, what you capable of (even the things you do not know about yourself yet!!) He can change your emotions, reactions, thoughts and behavior. He will change your life!!!.
While doing my classwork I came acrossed this site and thought it really puts things in a simple and concise what.
